Kyoto

I went to Kyoto to take photos of autumn leaves with four of my freinds last week. I wanted to see autumn leaves of Kyoto shrines and temples. A freiend living in Kyoto guided us to beautiful places by car. On the first day, We went to shrines and temples in a suburb where there are few tourists. And I could take time to take photos. On the secoud day, We went to Nanzenji, Koyaji and Eikando and so on, I was surprised to see many people there. In Eikando, I coudn't walk smoothly. Finaly I was satisfied to see autumn leaves and to take photos. I would love to to Kyoto in winter next time.



 
     

     
 
3 Day March

There is 3 day march event in Higashi Matsuyama city. That't walking in that general people can take part. First Friday to Sunday of Novenber evey year. There are 5km, 10km, 20km, 30km and 50km courses. We choose each course depending on our health condition. We can walk only one day or three days. Higashi Matsuyama city and Holland are friendship town. That's why many Dutch people take part in this event.



 
     

     
 
U.S.A.

I traveled to west coast of U.S.A. from 13th to 21st this month for the first time. I visited San Francisco, Los Angeles, Yosemite Park, Las Vegas, and Grand Canyon and so on. Most especially, I admired Grand Canyon about magnificent scenery of steep cliff. Las Vegas seems artificial town, It was like big without casino Disneyland. In San Francisco, rainbow flag stood, I was surprised to see many gays. U.S.A. is big land, moving distance is so long, We took domestic airplane and bus, It took so long time. I was sleeping in the bus, because I had jet lag. In this trip, I was upset about my English is not enouth.

Apple's co-founder and former Chief Executive Officer Steve Jobs has died. He was 56. Apple has lost a visionary and creative genius, and the world has lost an amazing human being. He as born in California, Jobs founded the firm in Silicon Valley in 1976. His revolutionary products made personal computers more friendly and accessible to people, especially young adults. His strategy created a boom in personal computing worldwide.He surprised the world by making a comeback as the firm's consultant. With even more innovative gadgets, Jobs successfully revived Apple.His charismatic sense of management grabbed the heart of users, and it made Apple the world's largest company in terms of market capitalization.



 
     

     
 
Public worker housing

Prime Minister Noda came to Asaka in order to see the former U.S Armed Forces base where there are many protests about the construction of public worker housing. The reasons of disagreement are house rent is inappropriate and a great deal og government of Tohoku region. I hope to meke the place to be a green park.



 
     

     
 
UNIQLO

Japan's Fast Retailing, the operator of casual clothing chain Uniqlo, has unveiled a pretty aggressive global expansion plan. It says it wants to open 200 to 300 outlets abroad every year.
The company chairman,Tadashi Yanai, announced on Wednesday that the markets it will enter include South America. The firm now has over 180 Uniqlo shops in Europe, the United States and Asia.
Yanai said the rise of the middle class in Asia is spurring the clothing industry, and he said the firm aims to become the world's top clothing maker and retailer.
Uniqlo's operator also plans to expand production, which has been mainly in China, to India and Cambodia as well.



 
     

     
 
Volunteer work

My husband went to volunteer work to Miyagi prefecture last week. Although half a year passed from the big earthquake. Tohoku region has not recovered yet. Many volunteers have been going to the disaster areas. My husband's hometown is Miyagi prefecture, that's why he is always worried about his hometown. The volunteer work he did was planting strawberrie seeding at a strawberrie's farmhouse where the green house was destroyed by tsunami. The farmer looked pleased. Althougt I'm sending donation, dustcloth and food. I haven't done any volunteers in that place. I hope I can take part in volunteer work with him some day.



 
     

     
 
South Korea

I went to South Korea three nights and four days with my friends from the 30th of the last month. I visited South Korea for the second time. When I visited South Korea six years ago, at that time, Although South Korea was the nearest foreign country, I felt it was a distant country. But I could feel very intimate Soth Korea this time. I felt that friendship of Japan and South Korea progrsssed, and my image changed too. Even though I visited only the tourist resorts. South Korean people were very gentle, kind and friendly.
Yen is very strong currency now. That's why there were many Japanese tourist. They bought lot's of souvenirs and they experienced aesthetics which is very famous in South Korea. I also bought many Korean foods and cosmetics, and experienced Akasuri for the first time. I got the feeling that my skin got smooth and beautiful. I spent four days with my friends in South Korea happily, eating chatting, shopping and seeing world heritage sites.
